Hi Everyone,
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend :-)

I'm super excited today because I have just brought the Sure Cuts a Lot software for my Cricut machine. It is absolutely fantastic and I don't think i'll need to buy another font cartridge ever again (woo, hoo!). I have been frantically downloading lots and lots of fonts and dingbats to try and here are some examples of what I have managed to cut out below:

Crazy, crazy nights: One of the band members from Kiss. I cut this out for my sister's friend as he adores the band. I think this is wicked!

"Autobots fall in" it's Optimus Prime from Transformers (now I am showing my geeky movie buff side!).

"One ring to rule them all" - says it all really, a little something from Lord of the Rings!

Well that's it from me. I'll post some more creations from Sure Cuts a Lot once i've had chance to play some more. Nite, nite.

Long Time, No Blog.....

Hi all,
I am so sorry it's been so long since my last post (too long really!!). I've been busy with preparations for mine and Paul's upcoming nuptials on 31st October. We decided because I make cards and jewellery that the wedding should be as handcrafted as possible drawing on all my so-called talents (Paul's words not mine!!!).

I've had a lovely week off this past week and my wonderful mum and sister helped me to make all the wedding invites and favours (thanks guys, you are the best!) but in my haste to post the invites out, I forgot to take photos (sorry!).

I also had a go at making my own tiara which I must admit isn't as easy as it may seem even though I make jewellery. Needless to say there were alot of tears and the first attempt ended up in the bin but, I stuck with it and am so excited with the results. I have included a couple of pictures below:

I hope you all like it. I used 170 Swarovski crystals on the band and flower and then some freshwater pearls for the band and flower stamens. The tiara band and gold wire were from Hobbycraft.

Well that's enough from me for now. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and I hope to blog again soon.

Take Care

Wow 2 posts in one day, I am doing well!!! Hope you are all enjoying the lovely sunshine.

Just a quickie to show you a card I made for my lovely Mother-In-Law to be for her b'day last weekend.

I have been going on about Copics for what seems an age and finally my wonderful fiance Paul said I could buy some. It was like Christmas when they all arrived so I had to get them out and play with them straight away on this card. I have to say they are so easy to use and I would highly recommend them. They are expensive but definately worth it!

Materials used:

Background Paper: DCWV Nana's Nursery (Girls)
Stamped Hanglar & Stanglar Image (from ebay) coloured with Copics
Green flower, sentiment and Green grosgrain ribbon (from stash)
